GRAVITY |
Cortos de realizadores colombianos y del resto de Iberoamérica, unos dirigidos por nuevas promesas del cine y otros provenientes de directores consolidados, conforman esta nueva edición de la Competencia Oficial Cortometrajes. Según Adriana Mora, Coordinadora y Programadora de esta sección, "se trata de una selección muy equilibrada, con distintas estéticas y formas narrativas. Dentro de la selección hay nombres de directores ya reconocidos, pero también gente muy joven, con un talento fresco. Buscamos trabajos que tuvieran una verdadera vocación de cortometraje en el guion y en la forma. Hay una representación amplia de países y cine para todos los gustos."
Organizado por los programas de Comunicación Social y Producción de Radio y Televisión de la Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano – Seccional del Caribe y el FICCI, Nuevos Creadores es el espacio dentro del FICCI dedicado a los trabajos universitarios. "Nos sorprendió gratamente ver cómo los jóvenes realizadores colombianos están haciendo obras maduras y tomando riesgos no sólo técnicamente sino también de contenido. Esto refleja cómo la academia audiovisual en Colombia sigue creciendo, ajustándose cada vez más a los estándares internacionales", afirman Ángela Ramírez y Harold Ospina Hincapié, los Coordinadores y Programadores de Nuevos Creadores.
The official Short Film Competition category will include shorts by Colombians and film makers across Ibero-America, some promising new directors and others well-established film makers. According to Adriana Mora, the Short Films category's coordinator and curator, this section, "will be very balanced, with varying aesthetics and narrative forms. Within the selection of films are well-known directors as well as very young, fresh talent. We looked for films that truly represent the short film genre in script and form. We will have a broad representation of countries and cinema for all types of audiences."
Organized by FICCI and the Social Communication and Radio & Television Production programs at the Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano—Seccional del Caribe, the New Creators category is a section of FICCI dedicated to university work. "We were pleasantly surprised to see young Colombian filmmakers producing mature work and taking risks, not only with technique but with content as well. This shows that Colombia's film schools continue to grow each year, coming ever closer to international standards," said Ángela Ramírez and Harold Ospina Hincapié, coordinators and curators of the Nuevos Creadores category.
