La gran fiesta del cine cerrará con Don't Swallow My Heart, Alligator Girl! La película del director, editor y productor brasileño Felipe Bragança, estrenada en el reciente Festival de Cine de Sundance, será la encargada de cerrar, el próximo 6 de marzo, luego de la Ceremonia de Clausura, en el Centro de Convenciones, a las 7:00 pm, la edición 57 del Festival Internacional de Cine de Cartagena de Indias –FICCI–, con un relato de amor entre dos jóvenes que enfrentan la huella de antiguos conflictos, y las divisiones impuestas por una frontera cultural y racial. Don't Swallow my Heart, Alligator Girl! (Não Devore Meu Coração), se desarrolla en las riberas del río Apa, puente de comunicación y, a la vez, separación natural entre Brasil y Paraguay. El universo que propone Felipe Bragança se enfoca en la atracción entre una joven guaraní llamada Abasano, que se proclama a ella misma como "La reina tatuada del Río Apa", y Joca, un muchacho brasileño que vive al otro lado de la frontera. Esta película está basada en la novela de 2003, Curva de Rio Sujo, del también brasileño Joca Reiners Terron y retoma motivos de "Romeo y Julieta", mezclados con elementos de los cuentos fantásticos y los dramas realistas de frontera. Felipe Bragança es guionista, director y productor. Como guionista ha trabajado en títulos como O Céu de Suely (2006) de Karim Aïnouz, Heleno (2011) de José Henrique Fonseca y Praia do Futuro (2014) de Karim Aïnouz. Entre sus cortometrajes se destacan Fernando Que Ganhou Um Pássaro Do Mar (2013) codirigido junto a Helvécio Marins Jr. En esta Noche de Clausura, también se darán a conocer los ganadores de la India Catalina en las diferentes categorías en competencia. Al finalizar la ceremonia, los asistentes podrán deleitarse con esta fábula sobre la resistencia, el sentido de pertenencia y la necesidad de raíces fuertes que permitan mirar de frente al futuro, en una presentación muy especial que contará con la presencia del director y guionista, Felipe Bragança. ------------ Don't Swallow My Heart, Alligator Girl! will close the great Cartagena film fest The film, by Brazilian director, editor and producer Felipe Bragança, premiered this year at Sundance and will be the closing film of the 57th edition of the Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival. Bragança's feature tells the love story between two young people in the face of old conflicts and divisions imposed by a cultural and racial frontier. It will be screened on March 6th after the Closing Ceremony, at 7 pm in the Convention Center. Don't Swallow my Heart, Alligator Girl! (Não Devore Meu Coração), takes place on the banks of the Apa river, both a natural divide and a bridge between Brazil and Paraguay. The universe proposed by Felipe Bragança revolves around the attraction between a young Guaraní girl called Abasano, who calls herself "the tattooed queen of the Apa river", and Joca, a Brazilian boy who lives on the other side of the border. Based on the novel by the Brazilian author Joca Reiners Terron, Curva de Rio Sujo (2003), the film adapts several patterns from "Romeo and Juliet" blended with elements taken from the fantasy tales and the realistic dramas that happen along the border. Felipe Bragança is a screenwriter and producer. As a screenwriter, he worked on films such as Love for Sale (O Céu de Suely – 2006) by Karim Aïnouz, Heleno (2011) by José Henrique Fonseca and Futuro Beach (Praia do Futuro – 2014), also by Karim Aïnouz. His short films include Fernando Que Ganhou Um Pássaro Do Mar (2013), which he co-directed with Helvécio Marins Jr. During the Closing Ceremony, the winners of the India Catalina Award in each category of the competition will be announced.
