EPIFANÍA was shot in 3 different stages and in 3 different countries. The first in Sweden in the mythical Faro Island know for having been the director Ingmar Bergman´s home and the set of many of his films; the second in Colombia, in diverses locations of Cali and the third in Canada, in the city of Montreal, Quebec. This change of locations has to do with the universe that this film proposes which in both filmmakers words´ "It is a movement from darkness to light, from death to life".

The main cast of the film is the Non-professional actresses Cecilia Navia and Juanita Escobar. In Sweden, a young woman experiences the death of her mother. During the time of grief she dreams about her mother coming back to life. In Colombia, a mother desires a change of routines. She tries to explore a way to regain her passion for living. The Colombian mother looks exactly as the Swedish mother. This unusual situation opens a new understanding of time and reality.

Made in different formats (S16mm, Digital Video and HD), it takes us to a fictional world build from the mixture of the real memories of both filmmakers´ mothers.

The crew is composed by Oscar Ruiz Navia and Anna Eborn in script and direction; Erik Hemmendorff, Gerylee Polanco and Oscar Ruiz Navia in Executive Production; as Associate Producers Patricia Drati Ronde and Tine Fisher.
